Writing About Travel Video Projects

Throughout the semester, there were several opportunities to use creative avenues to fulfill an assignment. I used this time to create video projects, spanning from a nature documentary to a reality TV spoof.

Songs of the Forest

Based on my Deep Map project, where I explored Santiago Oaks Canyon Park in Orange, CA, I extrapolated that into a larger video project. I filmed all the sounds/visuals recorded in this video! I wanted to capture the sounds of the forest and arrange them to be like a song.

Keeping Up With The JodAshions

After attempting to recreate the climax scene of Midnight in Paris, I realized there was no way that I could do a better job. My writing wasn't offering much, and my friend's acting wasn't either. We decided to do a quick pivot from something profound about the past versus the present and add a contemporary reality TV twist. It's called Keeping Up With The JodAshions because the two stars are named Jo and Ashton.

Journey Around My Room

I turned this Common Place Book Entry into a video project. It focuses on some of the landmarks around my room from the perspective of the camera.
